Basia Flores - works in illustration, although she sometimes also calls herself an artist, a creative soul. Her illustrations are a journey between colours, shapes and emotions. A simple path to positivity. Basia's studio is located in Katowice. She also teaches illustration and graphic design at the Silesian Academy in Katowice. She illustrates for magazines such as Wysokie Obcasy, Newsweek and KUKBUK. She creates book illustrations, among others, in cooperation with the publishing house Wytwórnia (series "Kuku" and "Elementarz polskiej kultury") and the publishing house Debit (book by Sylwia Chutnik "Opowieści na dobranoc dla młodych buntowniczek. 100 stories of extraordinary Polish women"). Her cover illustrations can be found in books by Anna Dziewit-Meller Wydanictwo Literackie ('Darcie Pierza', 'Disko'). Her illustrations also travel the world (as does Basia), going to Japan for the exhibition "Inner Strength. Women of Poland and Japan' to then return to Krakow to the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. Basia lives and draws with her dog, beagle Frida.
